Claude Academy: Building with the Claude API

Ava: Here's a small one. In October 2026, Anthropic issued Antoine a credential called Building with the Claude API.

Andrew: So, a certificate. Is there more to it than a line on a CV?

Ava: Not a lot, and the post doesn't pretend otherwise. He says he posted it when it arrived. The note only covers that API course.

Andrew: It mentions two others though, right?

Ava: Yes. His CV lists three Claude Academy credentials from the same month, all issued by Anthropic. Claude Platform 101, Introduction to Model Context Protocol, and Building with the Claude API.

Andrew: Okay, but why write about it at all?

Ava: Because it connects to something he built. The M C P material is about the same protocol behind uml-mcp, his server that renders Mermaid, PlantUML and Kroki diagrams from a chat client.

Andrew: And the API course fits where?

Ava: The page says it covers the request shape, tool use and streaming that an M C P client relies on. So it's the layer under the project.

Andrew: That's a nice link. The credential is the paper trail, the project is the practice.

Ava: That's the idea. Short and honest: what was issued, by whom, when, and where it touches his work.
